Friday night we went to a church 'trunk or treat' near our house with our good friend John & his daughters Kylinn & Brynn. They were both giraffes, so we had our own little zoo! There were cars lined up, each decorated in a different theme & people handing out candy at each one. They also had lots of games set up for the kids. Landon had a great time & after the first couple of cars he understood completely that his mission was to get candy!
Darren worked Saturday & Sunday, but there was an airshow at Alliance Airport, which is just across the highway from our house. Landon & I spent a lot of time in the backyard watching for airplanes. We could see quite a bit of the blue angels performance & they flew right over our house a couple of times. Landon was amazed, but I think it scared him that they were so loud when they flew over. He started calling them "monster airplanes". We watched them both afternoons & he's been saying he wants to see the monster airplanes all week.
On the evening of Halloween I took Landon up to the fire station in his costume. He loved getting to see the fire truck & running around the station. It was already dark by the time we got home, so I just took him to a few of the neighbor's houses to trick or treat afterwards. He didn't want to say trick or treat, but he was happy to take the candy. :) We met up with his good friend Natalie who lives around the corner from us. She was a lioness & we got some cute pictures of them together.
