April

Landon weighed 23 lbs at the Dr's office today. He handled his vaccinations like a champ, barely even crying & got cute Garfield bandaids. We've been really busy lately & have had something going on every weekend. We celebrated our niece Alex's 1st birthday at the beginning of April & the legal adoption of our niece, Bella, this Monday. Afterwards we all went out for breakfast, then took the kids to the zoo. Landon was still too young to appreciate all of the animals, but he seemed to have a good time & did notice a few of the exhibits. The weather was gorgeous, so it was a really fun day. We had his picture taken with the mall Easter bunny earlier this month too. He didn't smile of course, but was very curious about the bunny's fuzzy hands & face. He's eating a variety of veggies & fruits now. The only thing he doesn't seem too excited about so far is bananas. He tried some mashed potatoes at a wedding last weekend...his first non-baby food. He wasn't sure about the first couple of bites, but then he couldn't get enough of it. He's sleeping through the night sporadically, but mommy sure loves those lucky nights. He still rolls everywhere & scoots, but doesn't crawl yet. His eyes are a dark blue...sometimes they look brown, sometimes blue & his hair has grown a lot. It's still short, but he was pretty much bald to begin with. He still doesn't have any teeth, but sticks everything in his mouth. He likes to 'talk', still loves jumping in the jumperoo & has started smacking his lips which is pretty funny. He also 'smiles' by opening his mouth really big like he's surprised...he learned that from days at home with daddy. That's the run down for now...I'll post some recent pictures.
